Why do we have a prayer room?

When GOD is all pervading, omnipotent, I don’t understand why we need to have a separate room for HIM.

The human body is made up of five Koshas (कोश) [sheaths in English] – From Spiritual perspective.

  • First is Annamaya-kosha, that is, the physical body visible to us
  • Second is Pranamaya-kosha – it has the five vital energies (Panchaprana) providing energy to the whole body
  • Third is the Manomaya-kosha – Means Mind (Manas). This is the seat of emotions and desires. Mind along with 5 sensory organs is said to constitute the manomaya kosha. It is said more truly to approximate to person-hood.
  • Fourth is Vidnyanamaya-kosha – This is the seat of the intellect
  • Fifth is Anandamaya-kosha – This is the seat of the Soul (Atma)
